It is loved by users and critics alike and has often been commented on the detailed graphics, well-developed AI, and the extensive database it possesses. 

The game follows your character’s life as a football player, with options to switch between different clubs in the Career Mode. The goal of this mode is to win football competitions across the globe, and players are allowed to manage and organize their own football club. 

Another mode in the game is the FIFA Ultimate Team, where cards of real football players are available on the games transfers market. The aim of the game is to build a competition-winning custom team by acquiring and giving away different players in the market. 

The game can be played on Playstation 4 and 5, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, but whether it supports cross-platform playing between these systems is what the article discusses.

FIFA 21 Cross-Platform Support On PC and Nintendo Switch

If you have a PC version of FIFA 21, you cannot play with a player who uses a Nintendo Switch or vice-versa. FIFA is not yet compatible with cross-platform playing; therefore, you need to have one to play with a person who has a Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 21.

FIFA 21 Cross-Platform Support On PS4 and Xbox One

PlayStation and Xbox One use separate online gaming networks for FIFA 21, and Xbox Live does not support PlayStation Network. Therefore cross-platform playing is not supported between PS4 and Xbox One. To play with a PS4 or Xbox One user, you need to use the same gaming system they use.

Sadly, If you have a PC version of FIFA 21, you can only play with others who have a PC. The same rule applies to users of Xbox One. FIFA 21 does not support cross-platform playing as of now. Hence you can only play with others only if they use the same gaming system as you.

To play with a person who uses PS4 for FIFA 21, you would also have to have a PS4. Similarly, if you have a PC, you can only play with those who use a PC to play Fifa 21. Since computers and PlayStations differ hugely in controls and inputs, the game does not support cross-platform playing between these two systems yet.

Since PS4 and PS5 have changes in their functioning, cross-platform playing is not compatible between these devices. If you have a PS4 console, you need to have another player with a PS4 console to play together. Similarly, for PS5, both players need to have the same console.

FIFA 21 Cross-Platform Support On Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S

Unfortunately, though the same company manufactures Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, they still do not support cross-platform playing of FIFA 21 between them. To play FIFA 21 with another player who uses an Xbox console, you need to have the same console as them. 

However, if you want to continue your own game on a different Xbox console, you can do that. You can save and transfer your progress in the game between the consoles.
